Funeral celebrates Catholic priest

The priest and bishops of the Archdiocese of Detroit gather in-front St. Frances Cabrini as the funeral comes to an end on Wednesday. Over 300 people attend the funeral for Father Stephen Rooney at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in Allen Park on Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2020. Rooney was a passenger in a boat that capsized Aug. 16 in the Detroit River. His body was found Aug. 20 in Lake Erie. Archbishop Allen Vigneron presided over the Mass and Father Marc Gawronski was the homilist.
